Work on roadmap needed to remove barriers in EAEU countries' economic sectors should be sped up - Putin
SOCHI. Oct 11 (Interfax) - The countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) should speed up their efforts to devise a roadmap removing barriers in industry, agriculture, the energy sector and technical regulation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"We are convinced of the need to continue the systemic work of removing restrictions thwarting the free movement of goods, labor, services and capital between our states. [We] should speed up efforts to devise the roadmap for removing existing barriers in the sphere of industry, agriculture, the energy sector, technical regulation," Putin told an expanded meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
Trade between EAEU countries in 2017 rose by 30%, a direct result of the creation of a single market and common economic space within the union, the Russian leader said.
