London has no understanding of Russia's tasks in Syria - Russian foreign ministry
MOSCOW. Oct 14 (Interfax) - London pointing to deep differences over Syria demonstrates a fundamental failure to understand the tasks of Russia's anti-terrorist operation in Syria, First Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov said in relation to the preparations for British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson's visit to Russia.
"References to the deep differences between our countries, in particular over Syria, unfortunately reflect the fundamental incomprehension of the tasks of Russia's anti-terrorist operation in that country," Titov told journalists on Saturday.
"We would not like to think that that is the result of an ardent admission of the futility of the efforts so far by the international coalition, involving Britain, to fight terrorism efficiently," the diplomat said.
