N. Korean delegation still not planning contacts with S. Korean reps
ST. PETERSBURG. Oct 16 (Interfax) - Representatives of North Korea are still not going to meet with the South Korean delegation on the sidelines of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly, a representative of the North Korean delegation said.
"No plans," he told reporters.
When asked about North Korea's attitude to the military exercises of the United States and South Korea, he said he will be ready to give a comment later on Monday.
Russian Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko will hold separate meetings with the heads of the delegations of North Korea and South Korea on the sidelines of the IPU Assembly in St. Petersburg on Monday. Matviyenko will encourage them to begin negotiations with each other.
