Accountants say there was 'black fund' at Serebrennikov's Studio Seven - investigator
MOSCOW. Oct 17 (Interfax) - Two employees from the accounting office of Studio Seven, which stage director Kirill Serebrennikov founded several years ago to implement the Platforma art project, acknowledged to the investigation that the organization had what they called a "black fund," an investigator said.
Speaking at a hearing at Moscow's Basmanny District Court on Tuesday, investigator Alexander Lavrov asked the judge to attach relevant testimony by "witnesses Zhirikova and Filimonova" to the case, an Interfax correspondent reported from the courthouse.
Both witnesses told the investigation that Studio Seven ran "black accounts" and had a "black fund," Lavrov said.
The court is to decide on Tuesday whether to extend the pretrial restrictive measures against the suspects in the Studio Seven case, including Serebrennikov.
