Putin's envoy for Afghanistan to speak at NATO-Russia Council on Oct 26

MOSCOW. Oct 18 (Interfax) - Russian presidential special representative for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov has told Interfax he will present Russia's vision of the situation in Afghanistan at the NATO-Russia Council (NRC) on October 26.

"Yes, the meeting will address the situation in Afghanistan, and I have been invited to address the ambassadors at the NATO-Russia Council," Kabulov said when asked whether he would be attend the NRC meeting in Brussels on October 26.

"We will share our vision of the current situation in Afghanistan and its prospects," he said.

"The discussion of the Afghanistan situation at NRC was a joint initiative" of Russia and NATO, Kabulov said.
