No decision on amnesty for revolution's centenary - Peskov

MOSCOW. Oct 23 (Interfax) - The Kremlin is aware of the presidential human rights council's initiative to conduct an amnesty on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the October revolution, but no decision has been made on this score, the Russian president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"We know there was such an initiative, but no decision has been made regarding amnesty, there is none," Peskov told journalists.

When asked whether the Kremlin had read the draft amnesty decree sent to the State Duma by the human rights council, Peskov said: "No, not in detail."
