Russian Defense Ministry reports 9 ceasefire breaches in Syria

MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia has seen seven and Turkey two ceasefire breaches in Syria over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said in an information bulletin on Wednesday.

"Russian members of the joint Russian-Turkish commission investigating ceasefire breaches have observer seven shooting incidents in the provinces of Aleppo (4), Homs (2), and Latakia (1). Turkish members of the commission have observed two breaches in the provinces of Hama (1) and Damascus (1)," the ministry said.

Most cases of random small arms fire were observed in areas held by militants of the Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIL terrorist groups (banned in Russia), the ministry said.

"The situation in the de-escalation areas remains stable," it said.
