VTB to place 75 bln rubles in KC-2-179 series overnight bonds
MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - VTB will place 75 billion rubles in KC-2-179 series overnight bonds on October 26, the bank said in a statement.
The discounted bonds are being placed in a public offering as part of the second program of up to 15 trillion rubles in VTB exchange-traded KC-2 series overnight bonds, which was registered by the Moscow Exchange on February 7 under the number 401000B003P02E. The program is perpetual. The bonds have a face value of 1,000 rubles.
A pilot program for 5 trillion rubles in short-term VTB bonds was confirmed in September 2016.
VTB placed a debut KC-1-1 series of overnight bonds on October 24, 2016, and then continued to come onto the market every working day.
VTB is planning to place such bonds on a daily basis, however, it retains the right to abstain from the market.
