Chevron Lummus develops feasibility study for TANECO catalyst production facility

KAZAN. Oct 25 (Interfax) - JSC TANECO, an oil refining subsidiary of Tatneft , and U.S. Chevron Lummus Global LLC have signed a memorandum of intent to develop cooperation, the Russian oil company said in a statement.

The memorandum was signed during a visit of a Tatarstan delegation, headed by Tatar President Rustam Minnikhanov, to the U.S.

"The first memorandum between TANECO and Chevron Lummus Global LLC refers to the development of a feasibility study for the construction of a catalyst production facility at TANECO. The second document envisages the development of a feasibility study for branded oils production technology and engineering design support services," the press release said.

Tatneft has been cooperating with Chevron Lummus Global LLC since 2006.

Chevron Lummus Global LLC is a joint venture between Chevron and Lummus Technology companies. The company is a licenser of hydraulic oil refining processes, including hydrocracking of vacuum gas oil, production of high-quality base oils, as well as a full range of residue treatment processes.
