Energy Ministry drafting measures to stimulate small oil fields
MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - The Russian Energy Ministry is drafting measures to stimulate the development of small oil fields, Energy Minister Alexander Novak said during government hour at the State Duma.
"At present we are seeing interest from investors in developing small fields dwindle. We are seeing a lack of financial stimuli to deploy the latest technologies in developing the fields, and get them working at an acceptable profit margin," he said.
"We are now working on a package of stimulus measures in this area," he said.
