Federation Council urges U.S. Congress to preserve historic Iran nuclear deal

MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - The Federation Council fears that the United States may undermine the Iran nuclear deal and calls on parliaments of the United States and other P5+1 group countries to preserve this agreement, the house said in a statement approved at its plenary meeting on Wednesday.

"Members of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly are insistently urging members of the U.S. Congress to use every possible resource to prevent the emergence of an extremely dangerous situation. There are no reasons for ending cooperation with Iran on its nuclear program," the statement said.
