Russia, Pakistan sign military-technical cooperation agreement

MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - Russia and Pakistan have agreed to develop their military-technical cooperation; the agreement involves arms supplies and cooperation in weapon development.

The document, posted on the official Internet portal of legal information on Wednesday, involves the supply of weapons and military hardware and repairs to and upgrades of military products.

Under the agreement, the parties may also cooperate in developing new types of weapons and provide advice.

The supplying country may monitor the use of certain products to ensure they are used as intended, the document says.

The agreement was signed in Rawalpindi on April 18, 2017 and came into effect on July 10.
