Ruble little changed against dollar, euro as trading opens

MOSCOW. Oct 26 (Interfax) - The ruble is little changed against the dollar and euro in early trading on the Moscow Exchange on Thursday, inching up against the dollar but falling slightly against the euro.

The dollar, which began the day at 57.73-57.75 rubles/$1, was trading at 57.73 rubles/$1 after the first minute, 1.1 kopecks below previous closing but 11.6 kopecks above the official rate for today.

The euro started the day at 68.26 rubles/EUR1, up 4 kopecks from previous closing and 48.87 kopecks above the official rate.

The bi-currency basket ($0.55 and EUR0.45) opened at 62.47 rubles, or 1.2 kopecks above its previous closing value.
