Moody's prepared to review, improve Russian GDP growth outlook
MOSCOW. Oct 26 (Interfax) - Moody's Investors Service is prepared to review and improve its outlook for Russian GDP growth in November.
The agency will publish its macroeconomic forecasts for sovereign ratings in November and the GDP outlook for Russia might be improved, at least that for 2017, Kristin Lindow, a senior analyst on Russia's sovereign rating, said at the agency's 11th annual conference in London.
For now, Moody's is affirming its forecasts of 1.5% GDP growth for Russia in both 2017 and 2018.
The Russian Economic Development Ministry has said GDP grew 1.7% year-on-year in January-August and 2.4% year-on-year in September 2017. On that basis, the economy might have grown 1.8% in January-September. The ministry is forecasting GDP will grow 2.1% this year as a whole.
