Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson calls allegations of Russia

MOSCOW. Oct 26 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova denied on Thursday media reports, which said that Moscow had either already rejected or planned to reject the draft of a UN Security Council resolution on Myanmar.

"We have taken notice of the wrong reports posted by several media outlets, they said that Russia had either already blocked or was going to block the draft of a UN Security Council resolution on Myanmar," Zakharova told a press briefing on Thursday.

The United Kingdom and France submitted a draft, which, in the opinion of Russia, contained "a number of problem provisions" that somewhat disagreed with the realities in the Rakhine State and "inadequately reflected the efforts of interested sides to contain that crisis," she said.
