New U.S. sanctions can't make U.S.-Russia relations any worse - Kosachyov

MOSCOW. Oct 27 (Interfax) - Possible new sanctions the United States may impose on Russian defense industry enterprises and special services are unlikely to influence the situation surrounding U.S.-Russian relations as it cannot get any worse, Russian Federation Council Foreign Affairs Committee head Konstantin Kosachyov said.

"This is unlikely to influence the situation in the sphere of relations with Russia as most of the mentioned structures and their heads are already subject to sanctions, and relations are already so bad that they cannot get any worse. Rather, all of these acts are just indicators of the state of minds in the U.S. political leadership that still remain at the "gloom" mark," Kosachyov wrote on his Facebook page to comment on reports that a whole number of Russian defense industry enterprises and special services may become subject to new U.S. sanctions.
