RCIF invests in Hyperloop, to invest in RDIF/Lider concession holding

BEIJING/MOSCOW. Oct 31 (Interfax) - Russia-China Investment Fund (RCIF), created by the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Chinese CIC, has invested in the Hyperloop project.

"We can confirm that RCIF, not just RDIF, has invested in the Hyperloop high-speed transport project, which is developing intensively," RDIF chief Kirill Dmitriev told journalists on Tuesday.

RCIF is playing a key role in organization of the work of the Russian-Chinese Business Advisory Committee, which is already discussing 73 projects, of which 20 totaling $14 billion are currently being implemented. "To a great extent we are the ones analyzing these projects, making it possible for the business community to discuss them among themselves," Dmitriev said.

RCIF will also invest in United Transport Concession Holding, created by RDIF and Lider Management Company to implement investment projects in the construction and operation of highways and railways, including municipal transport (the Kutuzovsky Prospekt alternate road in Moscow), a source close to the deal told reporters. In other words, RCIF is joining RDIF's Arab partners (the sovereign funds of Saudi Arabia and the UAE).
