Sirik power plant in Iran to be finished in 2021

MOSCOW. Nov 1 (Interfax) - Construction of the Sirik (Hormozgan) thermal power plant in Iran, which is being built by Russian engineering company Technopromexport (TPE), will run to 2021, inclusive, according to a statement issued by the Russian president's press service.

"Work is being done to build the Sirik TPP (duration of construction is 2017-2021, capacity is 1,400 MW)," the statement said.

Russia and Iran began building the power plant, located in Bandar Abbas, in February 2017.
