Sakhalin Energy boosts LNG exports 2% in 9M

YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK. Nov 1 (Interfax) - Sakhalin region exported 8.013 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Asia-Pacific markets in January-September 2017, nearly 2% more than in the same period last year, the Sakhalin region customs office told Interfax.

The LNG exports were worth nearly $2.3 billion, down 0.05%.

The bulk of the LNG - almost 5.6 million tonnes worth over $1.6 billion - was supplied to Japan. South Korea received 1.5 million tonnes worth $441.71 million. The remainder was exported to Taiwan and China.
