Task of building Russia-Azerbaijan-Iran energy bridge still relevant - Putin
TEHRAN. Nov 1 (Interfax) - The project to build an energy bridge between Russia, Azerbaijan, and Iran, if implemented, would ensure the reliable supply of energy to the entire region, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
The task of creating such a bridge is "still relevant," Putin said at the Russia-Iran-Azerbaijan summit in Tehran.
The project involves merging the three countries' power grids, he said.
"Making this initiative a reality would increase energy security and ensure reliable energy supplies to the whole region," Putin said.
