Nord Stream 2 to consider alternative route if Danish approval not forthcoming; will take longer, be more expensive - CFO
MILAN. Nov 8 (Interfax) - Nord Stream 2 is considering an alternative route for pipeline construction in the case that Denmark refuses to grant approval for the pipeline to pass through its waters, Nord Stream 2 AG CFO Paul Corcoran said at the European Autumn Gas Conference.
He said that this option would take longer and be more expensive.
In November, the Danish parliament will consider a law giving the government the right to forbid projects in Danish territorial waters in the case of a threat to national security. Nord Stream 2 could be affected by this law.
