Russian-Kazakh Baikonur commission to meet in spring 2018 - Ushakov

MOSCOW. Nov 8 (Interfax) - The sixth session of the intergovernmental commission on the Baikonur complex will be held in Russia in April-May of next year.

Speaking in advance of Russian President Vladimir Putin's and Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev's attendance of a regional cooperation forum in Chelyabinsk and bilateral talks, the Russian presidential aide, Yury Ushakov, said that peaceful work in space is one of the most important areas of cooperation.

"Our intergovernmental commission on the Baikonur complex is working. Its fifth session was held at Baikonur on June 13 of this year; the sixth one is slated to be held in Russia in April-May 2018," Ushakov said at a briefing in Moscow.
