Foreigners commit 1.2 mln driving offenses in 2017 - Kolokoltsev
MOSCOW. Nov 8 (Interfax) - Foreign drivers have committed more than one million driving offenses so far this year, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev said.
"I can say that the number of driving offenses that were the fault of foreign drivers this year has dropped by 4.2%, though their total number is fairly high, at 1.2 million this year," Kolokoltsev told State Duma on Wednesday.
Police are particularly focusing on long-distance bus drivers, he said.
"Checks carried out on 1,000 drivers of intercity long-distance buses have revealed 1,200 citizens in breach of migration laws," Kolokoltsev said.
