OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to arrange meeting of Azerbaijani, Armenian FMs by yearend - Moscow

MOSCOW. Nov 9 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has confirmed plans to arrange a meeting between the Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers this year, but its precise date has yet to be agreed upon.

"Given the outcome of the Geneva summit on the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement, the [OSCE Minsk Group] co-chairs are planning to organize a meeting between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia by the end of the year; such contacts have been planned," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a press briefing on Thursday, without giving a date.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammedyarov said last week that it has been proposed that he meet with his Armenian counterpart in Moscow.

The Armenian Foreign Ministry said the meeting has been planned but that its date is still unknown.
