Russian, Iranian deputy FMs discuss Syria, Middle East
MOSCOW. Nov 14 (Interfax) - The Russian president's special representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, and his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Jaberi Ansari, have discussed Russian-Iranian cooperation aimed at resolving the crisis in Syria.
"The conversation involved a deepened exchange of views on the situation in the Middle East, with an emphasis on Russian-Iranian cooperation on the settlement of the Syrian crisis in light of the results of the seventh international meeting on Syria in Astana on October 30-31 of this year," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its website on Tuesday.
