Restructuring of Caracas debt to Moscow made possible thanks to friendship, solidarity promoted by Chavez, strengthened by Maduro - Venezuelan ambassador to Russia
MOSCOW. Nov 15 (Interfax) - Venezuelan Ambassador to Russia Carlos Rafael Faria Tortosa has praised the agreement signed on Wednesday on the restructuring of Caracas' debt to Moscow.
"Faced with the economic war and international financial blockade against Venezuela, the Bolivarian government is strengthening bilateral relations with Russia with the signing of an agreement that envisions refinancing of Venezuelan debt to Moscow," the ambassador wrote on Twitter.
This became possible thanks to the "strong ties of friendship, solidarity and cooperation with Russia, which were promoted by Comandante Hugo Chavez and continue being strengthened by Nicolas Maduro," he said.
