Ukrainian army breaches truce 25 times in past 24 hours - DPR
DONETSK/KYIV/LUHANSK. Nov 23 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has observed 25 ceasefire violations by the Ukrainian army in the past 24 hours, a spokesperson for the DPR operational command told the press.
"The Ukrainian army violated the ceasefire 25 times over the past 24 hours. The army attacked the vicinity of 15 populated localities in the republic using mortars of various calibers, grenade launchers, and small arms," the spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian army reported 12 attacks on its positions, the injury of two servicemen, and the combat trauma of another one.
The self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR)'s militia spokesman, Andrei Marochko, said that the Ukrainian army had launched seven attacks on the LPR.
"Tensions persist in the zone of the LPR militia's responsibility, and the Ukrainian army violated the truce seven times over the past 24 hours," Marochko told reporters on Thursday.
According to the LPR militia, the Ukrainian army fired 120mm and 82mm mortars, weapons of infantry combat vehicles, AGS, SPG, and RPG grenade launchers, and small arms. The army attacked the vicinity of Almazne, Frunze, Molodizhne, Smile, and Kalynove-Borshchuvate, the militia said.
"More than 20 projectiles, shells, and grenades were fired on the territory of the republic," Marochko said.
