Kazakhstan's KazMunaiGas, Gazprom sign protocol increasing gas exports to Russia in 2018
ASTANA. Nov 24 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's KazMunayGas and KazTransGas, Russia's Gazprom and Gazprom Export have finalized and signed a protocol on cooperation in the gas industry in 2018 following talks in Almaty, the KazTransGas press service has said.
The document was signed by Kairat Sharipbayev, KazMunayGaz executive vice president for gas transportation and marketing and Aleksandr Medvedev, deputy chairman of Gazprom's management board.
The protocol envisages increasing gas exports to Russia compared with previous years.
Earlier this year, KazMunaiGaz and Gazprom agreed that the volume of Kazakh gas exports to Russia in 2017 would total 12.8 billion cubic meters.
The KazMunayGas National Company (KMG) is a national operator for exploration, production, processing and transportation of hydrocarbons.
KazTransGas, is a national operator, which specializes in gas exploration, production, transportation and distribution, owns gas treatment subsidiaries and subsidiaries selling gas and gas products.
