One Ukrainian soldier killed, 2 wounded in Donbas attacks - Kyiv

KYIV/DONETSK. Nov 29 (Interfax) - Kyiv and Donetsk have traded ceasefire breach accusations, with the Ukrainian army reporting one combat fatality.

Twenty-seven ceasefire breaches by the militia have been observed on the contact line in the past 24 hours, the staff of the Ukrainian army operation in Donbas said on its Facebook page on Wednesday. The Ukrainian army returned fire 11 times, one Ukrainian soldier was killed in those attacks, with two others wounded, the staff said.

The militia opened fire in the vicinity of Ukrainian defense lines using mortars, grenade launchers, small arms, and infantry combat vehicle weapons in the area between Zaitseve and Hladosove on Tuesday morning, the staff said. "This activity disrupted a visit by OSCE SMM (Special Monitoring Mission) observers and a UN mission planning to conduct humanitarian monitoring in Maiske and Hladosove," the staff said.

In turn, a representative of the operative command of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) reported 14 ceasefire breaches by the Ukrainian army over the day.

"The Ukrainian army breached the truce 14 times during the day. The army shelled the vicinity of nine populated localities in the republic using mortars of various calibers, grenade launchers, and small arms," he said.
