Russian gasoline price growth accelerates to 0.3% in latest week - Rosstat
MOSCOW. Nov 30 (Interfax) - Consumer prices for gasoline in Russia rose 0.3% in the week of November 21-27, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) reported on Thursday.
Diesel fuel prices rose 0.8% in the latest week after rising 0.5% the previous week.
Gasoline prices have risen 5.9% in the year so far and diesel prices are up 7.4%, compared with overall inflation in Russia of 2.1%. In other words, gasoline price inflation is nearly triple overall consumer price inflation.
Gasoline price increases were recorded in 59 regional centers across Russia last week, including increases of 0.2% in Moscow and 0.4% in St. Petersburg.
Gasoline production rose 3.7% to 770,300 tonnes in November 20-26 compared with the previous week. Diesel production increased 2.2% to 1.621 million tonnes.
