Iranian FM, Azerbaijani president discuss Caspian Sea, trilateral interaction with Russia
BAKU. Dec 1 (Interfax) - Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku on Friday.
"We had fruitful talks with the president of Azerbaijan; we discussed energy cooperation, the status of the Caspian Sea, the trilateral platform with Russia and a similar format with Turkey," Zarif told reporters.
He said the sides also discussed broadening cooperation on issues of transit between the two countries.
"Iran has good relations with Azerbaijan, and we intend to continue developing serious bilateral relations," Zarif said.
