Russia, Iran do lot of damage to ISIL in Syria - Larijani
MOSCOW. Dec 4 (Interfax) - ISIL (banned in Russia) has suffered heavy damage in Syria due to the combined efforts of Russia and Iran, which will intensify the anti-terrorist fight in the region, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said on Monday.
"Iran and Russia have seriously impacted ISIL in Syria," Larijani told reporters in Moscow after meeting with State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
Bilateral cooperation in the war on terrorism "has been progressing well," Larijani said. "Many countries say they are fighting terrorism, but Iran and Russia are proving this with deeds," he said.
"Iran and Russia will continue their struggle," Larijani said.
