Parties to Donbas conflict still undecided over prisoner swap date - Sajdik

MINSK. Dec 5 (Interfax) - The parties to the Donbas conflict have not set a date for exchanging prisoners, Martin Sajdik, the special representative of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) to the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine, said.

The humanitarian subgroup discussed technical matters related to the prisoner exchange but has not set a date, Sajdik told journalists after the TCG meeting in Minsk on Tuesday.

The parties promised to swap their captives before the New Year and Christmas holidays, Sajdik said.

"Ukraine is doing everything [it can] to honor its obligations to release captives, which should happen before the holidays," Darka Olifer, a spokeswoman for the TCG's Ukrainian representative Leonid Kuchma, wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
