Iraq tendering 9 oil, gas fields, Russian cos welcome to bid
BADRA, IRAQ. Dec 6 (Interfax) - Iraq is putting nine oil and gas fields up for tender.
"Yes, they're holding a tender for nine fields. Our companies too are obtaining information and looking it closely," Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told reporters.
He said Iraq was keen for Russian companies to be involved in the construction of pipeline infrastructure.
He said some of the fields on offer were in Kirkuk.
Russia's Lukoil , Gazprom Neft and Bashneft currently work in Iraq.
