Ukraine may receive 50 million euros from EU for support of Donbas
KYIV. Dec 8 (Interfax) - Ukraine and the European Union have agreed on the transfer of 50 million euros for a support program for the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
The agreement was signed in Brussels on Friday, the press service for the Ukrainian government said.
The agreement on funding the program of the EU's support to eastern Ukraine creates legal grounds for the implementation of projects of employment incentives and economic growth in the government-controlled territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions via provision of assistance for development of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, promoting civil initiatives, and facilitating structural changes in the fields of healthcare, education, and infrastructure, the press service said.
