CIS leaders to have informal meeting before year-end - Putin
MOSCOW. Dec 14 (Interfax) - The leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries will have an informal meeting at the end of December, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"We are developing a common algorithm now, but not only in the oil and gas trade sector and not only in the transport sector, but also common algorithms in the digital technology sector, which is an extremely important area. I've talked about this with all of my counterparts, and I believe we will gather once again in the near future, at the end of this month, to talk about this once again, informally," Putin said at an annual press conference on Thursday.
"We will gather, I hope this will be an informal meeting within the CIS framework, but we will also talk about this with our counterparts from the Eurasian Economic Union," he said.
