Russia has no plans to invite PACE monitors to 2018 elections - source
MOSCOW. Dec 18 (Interfax) - Moscow has no plans to invite monitors from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) to the presidential election in Russia, a source in the Russian Foreign Ministry told Interfax on Monday.
"Our relations with PACE have been de facto reduced to zero on their initiative; we were deprived of the right to vote. We said during the preparations for the State Duma elections that there should be no one-sided games," the source said.
"Therefore, we did not invite PACE to the State Duma, and we have no plans to invite them to the presidential [election] because it would be incorrect, unfair, and not objective," he said.
