Lavrov certain Russian, Serbian leaders' talks to be successful

MOSCOW. Dec 19 (Interfax) - Russia and Serbia have laid the proper groundwork for a visit to Moscow by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said, expressing confidence that Vucic's negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin later on Tuesday will be successful.

"Together we have properly prepared President's Vucic's visit. I am confident that talks due to take place in the afternoon today will be successful. And in the meantime, we can discuss certain foreign policy issues," Lavrov said at a meeting with Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic on Tuesday.

Putin and Vucic will hold negotiations in Moscow on Tuesday. The Serbian president's visit to Russia will continue through December 20.
