Israeli, Russian diplomats discuss counterterrorism
MOSCOW. Dec 19 (Interfax) - Russia and Israel have discussed the importance of consolidating international efforts to fight terrorism.
On Tuesday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov met with the Israeli Foreign Ministry's Deputy Director-General for Strategic Affairs, Alon Roth-Snir, who is in Moscow on a visit, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"The pair exchanged views on the current situation in the Middle East and North Africa, with an emphasis on the problem of counterterrorism. Both sides noted the importance of consolidating international efforts in the fight against this global challenge," the Russian ministry said on its website.
The two diplomats "also touched on several aspects of the bilateral counterterror agenda," the ministry said.
