Ten brigade sets of Iskander-M missile systems delivered to Russia's Ground Forces - commander

BALASHIKHA, Moscow region. Dec 22 (Interfax) - The Russian Ground Forces have received ten brigade sets of Iskander-M tactical missile systems, Ground Forces Commander Col. Gen. Oleg Salyukov told journalists on Friday.

"The rearmament of the missile units with the modern Iskander-M system instead of the outdated Tochka-U has been taking place as planned. At the present time, over ten brigade sets have been delivered to the missile units of the Eastern and Western Military Districts, including two sets this year," Salyukov said.

The new system is unique, and its developers expect that "foreign states will be able to create analogues no sooner than 2025," he said.
