Central Elections Commission accepts documents from Navalny, Polonsky
MOSCOW. Dec 24 (Interfax) - Opposition activist Alexei Navalny has filed his documents with the Central Elections Commission (CEC) for nominating his candidacy at the 2018 presidential election.
Navalny came to the committee on Sunday and filed a relevant application and a protocol of a meeting of the initiative group, which has earlier put forward his candidacy for running in the presidential election, the CEC press service told Interfax.
Sergei Polonsky has also filed his documents. The CEC accepted these documents, an Interfax correspondent reported.
