Kyiv representative confirms release of 68 Ukrainian prisoners in Donbas
KYIV. Dec 27 (Interfax) - Sixty-eight Ukrainian prisoners were released in the exchange between the Ukrainian authorities and the self-proclaimed republics in the eastern part of the country, Ukrainian presidential adviser Yuriy Biryukov said.
"Sixty-eight people were released as of 4:10 p.m.," he said on his Facebook page.
Ukrainian presidential press secretary Svyatoslav Tseholko said the president has already arrived in Donbas to meet with the Ukrainains released from captivity.
