Turkey reaches final agreement with Russia on delivery of 4 S-400 battalions - defense minister
ISTANBUL. Dec 27 (Interfax) - Ankara and Moscow have finalized an agreement on the delivery of four battalions of the Russian air defense missile system S-400 to Turkey, Turkish Defense Minister Nurettin Canikli said on Wednesday.
The parties have reached agreement on the matter, Canikli said.
The final phase of the negotiations on the $2.5 billion S-400 deal concerned the contract's loan terms, Canikli said.
"To be more precise, we were trying to decide whether to acquire the air defense systems through a loan or whether Turkey was to pay its own money. In the end, a decision in favor of the contract's partial financing was made," he said.
