Russia prepared to discuss Ukraine's debt with other countries, no talks being held with Kyiv - minister

MOSCOW. Dec 29 (Interfax) - Russia is prepared to consider any options regarding the fate of Ukraine's $3 billion debt, which is now the subject of litigation, and discuss them with other countries, but negotiations are not currently being held directly with Kyiv, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said.

"Most likely, probably the court proceedings will continue," Siluanov said in an interview with Rossiya 1 when asked about the outlook for the litigation.

"If we find, reach an agreement [with other countries] on proposals for the early disposal of this debt or its exchange for other securities, we're prepared to consider any proposals," Siluanov said.

He said "no negotiations of any kind or currently being held with Ukraine."
