Yerevan denies reports of President Sargsyan's hospitalization

YEREVAN. Jan 9 (Interfax) - The Armenian presidential executive office has denied newspaper reports that President Serzh Sargsyan was admitted to hospital due to the deterioration of his health over the New Year holidays.

"This information is not true. The president had a mild cold. He was at home during that period," presidential press secretary Vladimir Akopyan told Interfax.

The Zhamanak newspaper reported earlier on Tuesday that the Armenian president had been hospitalized over the New Year holidays and for that reason had been absent from Orthodox Christmas church services.
