Jabhat al-Nusra continues random attacks in Syria - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Jan 10 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia and Turkey have seen 11 ceasefire breaches in Syria over the past day, the Russian Defense Ministry said in an information bulletin on Wednesday.

"The situation in the de-escalation areas has been stable. Russian members of the joint Russian-Turkish commission investigating ceasefire breaches have recorded four shooting incidents in the provinces of Aleppo (1) and Latakia (3)," the ministry said.

Turkey observed seven shooting incidents in the provinces of Idlib (4) and Damascus (3), the ministry said.

"Most cases of random fire of mortars and small arms were seen in the areas held by the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization (banned in Russia)," the ministry said.
