Putin asks his campaign HQ's co-chairs to act strictly under law

MOSCOW. Jan 10 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin told the co-chairs of his campaign headquarters that the law should be observed, including while gathering voter signatures for his support.

"I would like to ask you and everybody, who will be involved in this [campaign] headquarters' work, to act exclusively within the framework of the law, violating nothing. And this concerns the collection of voter signatures for everything to be correct and without any breaches," Putin said at a meeting with the campaign headquarters' co-chairs.

At the same time, he expressed confidence that everything will be successfully done, acting in line with the law. "But maximally correctly," he said.
