Nazarbayev starts official visit to U.S
ASTANA. Jan 16 (Interfax) - Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev arrived in Washington on Tuesday for a January 16-18 official visit, the Kazakh leader's press service said.
"During his official visit, Nursultan Nazarbayev will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump, other U.S. officials and representatives of U.S. business circles," the press service said.
In addition to that, the Kazakh president will also attend a meeting of the United Nations Security Council.
Nazarbayev is expected to preside over UNSC discussions on January 18 focusing on the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and confidence building measures.
It is Nazarbayev's seventh visit to the U.S., the chairman of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry's international information committee, Talgat Zhumagulov said.
