Nazarbayev, Trump holding talks at White House
WASHINGTON. Jan 16 (Interfax) - Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, who is on an official visit to the United States, has arrived at the White House for talks with U.S. counterpart Donald Trump.
Trump personally met Nazarbayev at the entrance to the West Wing at the U.S. presidential residence in Washington.
Yerlan Karin, head of the Kazakhstan Council on International Relations has arranged for the meeting to be live-streamed on Facebook.
The talks between the two presidents got under way.
Earlier on Tuesday the U.S. president wrote on Facebook about his upcoming meeting with the Kazakh leader. Trump said that after the meeting he and Nazarbayev will make a joint press statement followed by a working lunch together.
