Russian Deputy FM Bogdanov, Syrian Social Nationalistic Party discuss run-up to National Dialogue Congress
MOSCOW. Jan 17 (Interfax) - Russian Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov received the Syrian Social Nationalistic Party (SSNP) delegation led by SSNP foreign affairs bureau head Hassan Sakr on Wednesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in its statement.
"The host of issues of the situation unfolding in Syria and surrounding it with the focus on the necessity for the soonest possible political settlement of the crisis in Syria in compliance with UN Security Council Resolution 2254 was discussed at the talks. In this context the progress of preparations to holding the Syrian National Dialogue Congress in Sochi on January 29-30 was addressed," the Foreign Ministry said.
